Seize the means of fermentation! ⓺⓶ Robespierre, bread, roses

A bulletin on the life and (up)rising of my sourdough starter: Robespierre

at 2307h Robespierre feels ready STOP
to provide solace and a loaf STOP
at the end of a particularly intense week STOP
as i examine the edges and the signs left on the glass STOP
of the jar he calls home STOP
he tells me of the 1912 textile workers strike STOP
in the town of Lawrence, MA STOP
supported by the IWW - Industrial Workers of the World STOP
a prominent union from Chicago STOP
what Robespierre says that stands out to me STOP
is the description of a fight based on solidarity and compassion STOP
of requests for dignity for the worker and for women STOP
a display of multicultural unity STOP
each union meeting was translated in 25 languages STOP
such were the languages spoken by the protesting workers STOP
the strike obtained increased salaries STOP
but lost a proud Italian woman, Anna LoPizzo STOP
worker STOP union member STOP killed during the fight STOP by the police STOP
brutality manifested also in the beating of the protesting workers' children STOP
perpetrated by the hand of a police that in 1912 STOP
was already not on the side of the people STOP
Robespierre furiously despises police STOP
and reminds me that the only way forward is bread for the people STOP

may you see the sun - and yourself - rise, Robespierre STOP
